A native of Chicago, Chrissy has been preparing gourmet dishes for her family since she was the age of eight years old. In a pursuit to satisfy her love of cooking, she enrolled at the Chicago Vocational Career Academy, where she began her culinary journey and future career. After receiving her Culinary License, Chrissy went on to become a Certified Food Manager while furthering her education in the foodservice and hospitality industry at Washburne Culinary. Post the furtherment of her knowledge, Chrissy earned the distinct honor of attending Walt Disney World for a six-month internship.
Between 2007 to 2008, Chef Chrissy had the honor of attending the National Restaurant Association Show, which was in partnership with Sara Lee at that time, which led to the inception of Cultivating Catering, LLC. Garnering her experience as a Former Head Line Chef and Kitchen Supervisor, Chef Chrissy has a consummate knowledge and talent in catering private client dinners to exquisite large-scaled corporate events. In addition to founding her catering company, Cultivating Catering, LLC., She also served as a teaching assistant at here former al mater, Chicago Vocational Career Academy teaching future hospitality students the hands-on experience of foodservice and hospitality industries.
Based in the Greater Chicagoland area, Chef Chrissy has worked with various celebrities such as the artist Tank, Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, and a host of many others. Chef Chrissy and her Cultivating Catering company are committed to serving various communities throughout the Greater Chicagoland area by providing meals. She has donated to the first responders and front liners during the COVID19 pandemic.
